Roswell Literacy Council presents

DeadAir

Roswell Literacy Council is partnering with the Roswell Community Little Theatre to create a dinner theatre this year on Friday, June 6th.  This year features a murder mystery entitled “Dead Air” by Lee Mueller. The synopsis of the play is as follows:

Radio station WEZ-Y established a winning format in the 1950’s and has stuck with it ever since. Ever since the 60’s, the 70’s, the 80’s etc. Nothing has changed. Not the music nor the annual “Live Broadcast” hosted by Guy Godfry- ‘Your voice in the night.’ This particular Anniversary show proves to be a wee bit different.

First of all, rumor has it the station is about to be purchased by a large media conglomerate. Secondly, Guy seems to be having a virtual breakdown on the air. To top it off, the Bunny Bagel Boy collapses right after his live commercial spot and appears to be dead. Will any of this help the ratings? Is anyone listening? Does anyone care? Why am I asking you? Tune in and find out.

The dinner includes:

  • Potato leek soup in sour dough bowls
  • Traditional Caesar salad
  • Beef bourguignon
  • Prosciutto wrapped asparagus
  • steamed fingerling potatoes
  • Dessert tray to include chocolate truffles, lemon tarts and chocolate covered strawberries

The play will be held at Emeritus Roswell  2801 N. Kentucky. Doors open at 630 for seating. Dinner is to begin at 7. The show starts at 8. Contact the Roswell Literacy Council at http://roswell-literacy.org to purchase your tickets today!  The cost is $50 for adults. Seating is limited so reservations ARE encouraged.
